Sorry, sorry, sorry

I am sorry it has taken me so long to get something new up...but at least I am not as bad as Dan! Life here has been busy, busy, busy. Mike is now finished with Summer School and is only working at the Cloudveil store. He is there 3 days a week (Tues, Wed and Fri) so we have lots of family time. I am planning on a Mommy afternoon someday soon. I plan to kick the boys out of the house so I can have litte time to be alone (I have not been alone for more than 45 minutes in over a year). I promise to post more tonight. Have a great day!

What we've been up to

Life has been a little busy for us here. Mother's Day Asher, Mike and I hung around the house in the morning and then went out to Signal Mountain Lodge with Mom, Dad and Quinn for a late lunch/early dinner. There is still so much snow up in the park and the ice is still thick on Jackson Lake. Last weekend we went to Casper for State Track and had a great time. It was nice to be in flip flops and for Asher to be in short and t-shirts. Asher is the best at wearing his gafitas (sunglasses) and sun hat. We get lots of comments from people on how well he keeps them on. This weekend we head out to Uncle Josh and Aunt Lauren's. We will see a Met's game and hopefully get to the zoo.


As you can see, Asher does not harbor warm feelings for the grass yet. Hopefully as the warm weather continues he will outgrow his dislike and distrust of that weird green stuff.

I like to move...

Asher went for his first ski this past week. He and Mike skinned part way up Snow King and skied down. I think he liked it-I know Mike loved it. We will be getting a backpack so Mike and Asher can do more Daddy/Asher things like this. Right now we are researching which one is best...anyone know what Consumer Reports says? It will be nice to have one so we can take hikes, long walks up Cache Creek, go to State Track, ect...


We will probably go for a bike ride tomorrow. The road from Moose to Jenny Lake is open to non-motorized vehicles and we are thinking we will take the bikes and the Chariot up there. First we have to make a stop at KMart for a helmet for the little man. I sure hope he likes the bike/Chariot because we plan on using it all summer. One of the nice things about Jackson is the bike path system. We can go almost anywhere with the bikes. Two summers ago we road our bikes everywhere and are hoping to repeat that this summer.


We went for a family walk this afternoon. I am not sure how warm it was, but it was warm enough for us to get out without hats and snowsuits! We walked down South Park Loop Road and saw lots of birds. Asher seemed to like the Mei Tai and I liked it better than wearing him in the Bjorn. My back can't take his weight on the front now that he is a whopping 17 pounds (okay, we know he is skinny, but look at his mom and dad-the kid is never going to be an offensive lineman!).

He is also crawling all over the place and is currently knocking the blocks over as fast as Mike can build them up. Hope all is well with everyone.

The latest...

Yesterday was one for the record books. Asher has been pulling himself up on everything (unfortunately for him not very well) and managed to fall into the entertainment center and pull a chair down on him all in an hour's time. Yikes! The first time I turned away to do something and the next time I was getting food ready for him. Fortunately there were no bruises. Later he hit himself in the mouth with his hammer-but recovered from that quickly. He woke up from his afternoon nap screaming and it took me about 20 minutes to calm him down...I don't know if he had a bad dream or what, but it was rough on the poor guy. So far today we are doing better. Oh, and we are getting ready for baseball season...Hope all is well.
